Chirping and Egg Laying

Hey guys, My 2 month old Black Australorp chirps a lot when I hold her. She just sits in my arms calmly, but I just wanted to make sure it is okay that she chirps so much. When will my chicken start clucking? I also want to know when she will start laying eggs, I am so exited for a farm fresh sunny-side up!

If she is sitting there calmly it's most likely just happy chirps. Not really sure when they start clucking, I don't remember when mine did. I think the average egg laying age is around 4 months but that also depends on the breed.

Enjoy the baby being a baby right now. It'll be grown before you know it and then you will start thinking about hatching more, and more, and more. Thats when the chicken math we all talk about starts coming into play.
