Hello,
I am a newbie raising chickens in the Sierra foothills of California and in need of some help with my sick chickens. 2 of my 52 chickens are suffering from what I would describe as repertory sickness. They both display a chocking noise. It sounds like a wet rattle at times. Two days ago it was only slightly noticeable while now they are both choking/coughing every few minutes. I have separated them and given them some yogurt. Both are about 2 years old layers. One of the two has lost her feathers on her underside (however, I am not sure if this is new or she has always had this).
No discharge
Good appetite
Plenty of water
Free range
Normal active behavior
Thanks in advance for all your help and advice.
