I would post pics but don't currently have my camera battery charged.
Originally, I posted "early" as there didn't seem to be swelling - her toes were curled up on one foot and she wasn't able to stand. I assumed that swelling would develop but it never did, so I thought perhaps she'd broken a bone.
The vet said that not standing at all is a sign that it's not a broken bone, as she should be able to stand a bit using her other leg. She also said that swelling doesn't always accompany bumblefoot and to give her 48 hours on antibiotics, so that's what I'm going with, for now. If it doesn't improve with antibiotic treatment, I'll take her in for an appointment.
She's eating and drinking well and wants to socialize; that hasn't diminished in all of this time, so I am optimistic that this is something treatable. She's in a large dog crate in our den where it's nice and warm - I'll report in a couple of days on how she's doing.
