My friends hubby with cancer is going through a rather vocal period with demons. He MUST be vulnerable or they wouldn't be there. But my friend has witnessed some encounters where her hubby is hollering NO I WILL NOT GO WITH YOU. But her has never stated he is covered by the blood of Christ in these exchanges. Can fellow Christians share theirs thoughts on this? Or even non Christians that may be sympathetic to this.

I wish my SS teacher was here. She is 87 and just so knowledgeable about this stuff. . .I feel so badly for your friends. Death is never easy, but to have to witness this is enough to break your heart. I don't have any wisdom about this, but it does sound like he is fighting his own demons . . .

Would it be possible to get a church elder, pastor, priest - whatever to visit with him and pray with him? A little support and the show of a small army coud never hurt. Remember, 'Whan two or more are gathered in My Name...."

See if he is willing to get a group of believers together to pray for strength nd peace.

I'm assuming that he is probably on quite a few medications because of this?

I've witnessed medications messing with people a LOT. During one of the many times my grandfather was hospitalized he, a very nonreligious person, started hearing very religious music that no one else could for weeks on end, letting him know that the end was coming. A lot of medications certainly open people up to a whole new frame of mind and plane of existence it seems. Much of it is medication, but yes, some certainly is much further beyond that.

I would wonder if a decrease in certain medications would alter this. Obviously that is something that wouldn't be recommended in this situation, but I have seen with others.

No he is dying and accepts very few meds. VERY FEW. He is addamant about that. The pain med only mess with his liver and his liver is what is failing at the moment. The diagnosis is bile duct cancer - rare to say the least!

Deb, you and I have talked and you know what I am, that being said, please take this as it's meant, as a friend.

Mayhap he's not seeing demons, maybe he IS seeing angels, or God or Christ and he does NOT want to go with them either!

Mayhap he's just not ready to go and he's telling them ALL whoever they are, that this just ISN'T the time.

Could be.

I tend to agree with this, mainly because of Romans 8:35-39. If he's for sure a saved man (and I don't know him), we know that demons can't take him. Maybe he is really just holding on to life and doesn't want to go yet anyway. I've heard lots of death-bed stories that people passing felt the presence of angels coming to lead them home. Christians being indwelt by the Holy Spirit can't be demon possessed either, although I think you can get to a point of being so far away from God that they can torment you in your backsliding. And of course the Bible gives several accounts of the apostles confronting and casting out demons. But to be beckoned by them--if he's a Christian, this would not be the case to my knowledge. They would already know that they can't have a saved man's soul. Nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ, we can't be plucked from his strong hand.

Sorry to hear that your friend's husband is suffering so much. I pray that he'll know peace when his time comes.

Bonnie I seriously LOVE you. He has had a HARD walk with Christ through his years, and I believe this leaves him open to the demons to invite him in. And he is resisting. This death demon thing is just new to me. I dont get it quite yet. I am not confused, so much, just wondering if others have had the demon temptation.

I remember when my grandma died, she argued for DAYS with her angel named Lorraine. I was an adult. I am not nuts.
