Christian Topic: Bible Translations - which do you like?

I always liked my King James version until my hubby got me a new bible a few years ago. It is the New King James and it is a lot like the old one but a little easier to understand.

What i am saying is:..IF God is REALLY real...i dont have to listen to someone say.."Satan will suck the energy out of someone"...Why give Satan the power to do that?..from what i understand...Satan can ONLY TAKE what YOU GIVE HIM!!.(and so thats why I am not worried about him..)...maybe i am wrong..but..i dont think so...

..and i take a REAL offense to someone "implying" that PC has had Satan suck the energy out of him because he also may believe in evolution.....sorry..it offends me.. and so, ...i just got upset over these things...excuse me,

So... people have asked what IS God? What IS Faith?

....God and Faith are like the wind – you cannot see, taste, or smell them; they are not tangible – but you can feel each and every one of them. You can see their effects but you cannot see "them".

Well... to me - its knowing and believing in something blindly and wholeheartedly, trusting in someone or something without question. Faith is a feeling, a different description for each person - just like God can be something different for each person. To me - God is God but to a Native American, God is something different than God is to me.

Being secure in your beliefs is enough and should be enough to prevent arguing on any level I guess is what I'm trying to say. No one is right and no one is wrong, it is what YOU believe that matters - who's to say who's right and who's wrong in that? It is how each person was raised after all.. it is their belief.

I dont know..maybe I'm rambling...
