This was a great thread .. and just what I needed this morning! Amazing that it was pulled from 6 months ago on the morning I needed to hear this..

**Off to find some scripture teaching to listen to while I work**

Great thread everyone! It is so nice so know that there are other Bible believing Christians on this board. Does anyone read/listen to John Macarthur, Grace to You? Here's the link:

http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermon+Series/scripture

He has opened up his 40 years of studies on-line for free. I've learned so much about God's Word from him. I'm going through the different new testament studies, on 1 Peter now. Love it because I can listen or read. I love listening while I'm sewing.

Wonderful posting Cedar Ridge you said "amazing how the Lord puts it there for us when we need it most.!!"

We call that a Godinstance, not a coincidence in our household.

I'm going to check out some of these resources.....

Thank you all so much for posting....I'm currently reading and being so blessed by Corrie Ten Bloom's books and a book written about her as well.

May each of you have such a blessed Christmas...

Robin'sBrood :

I'm sorry, but I do not trust Joel Osteen's preaching AT ALL. Please be careful about who you trust with Biblical teaching. Remember...

Matthew 7 (KJV)

15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Please be careful.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, I enjoy Les's teaching when we can get him.I don't mean to offend anyone that believes in it but I 'm NOT one of the name it and claim it group.I promise not to get on my soap box, but after being a minister's wife for more than 40 years, I think I have just about seen everthing Or heard everthing.and there is a great divide between religion and salvation." Now Marrie step off soapbox."

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

There's the litmus test; while it is expected to proclaim Jesus here and now, the real essence is whether Jesus will claim to have known us on that Day. I liked Adrian Rogers too!

I haven't listened to him but I love to listen to Jon Courson from the Calvary Chapel radio station. I need to check this guy out tomorrow morning with my coffee and yogurt.

PS - Robin, it was Jon Courson's teaching and his own story that sent my son to church for community service. Best thing I ever did.

WOW! See, I had never heard that preached or explained until I heard Les Feldick talking about it on TV one day. This was before his show was moved to the 8:00 time slot it has now... I happened to come across him and tuned into what he was saying... and he was explaining exactly that. This is all new and fascinating to me.

Thank You for showing me this ministry, Lord!

Robin, can I get his teachings online? I like to listen for the first 30 minutes at work each day.
