Christmas 2013 Hatch-A-Long!

We just had our first pip! This is the first batch of eggs I've ever put in an incubator, I'm more nervous and anxious than I was waiting for my child to be born. :D

Just checked in on mama & she's got 12 chicks!!!

I've just doubled the size of my flock overnight! She had 14 eggs but I was dubious that that many would hatch, last time one of my chooks hatched chicks she had 10 eggs but we only got 3 chicks.
They are sooo adorable

I saw something abouting adding pennys to the water bowls that helps bactaria from forming i tried it my embroyos are doing good so far but the pennys need to be before 82 there is more copper in them

We seem to be having a huge problem hatching lately, every thing is going great until the 29th day, we have a lot that never pip.... Any ideas? Also, when do we know if pipping for them is the only option left?

Here's my lil MIRACLE for Christmas, and that's what I named him or her....:jumpy I even made her a furry ball to cuddle up to... She didn't inherit feathered feet, I only have a leghorn rooster and Rhode island red ...so who do you think fathered her?
Darling little fluff ball!:love
