Christmas Carols, BYC style!

You guys are incredible. I've tried several times to come up with ANYthing - any words to any song, and come up dry. I love this thread though!

OK, here's my entry - sung to the tune of "Sleigh Ride Together":

Just see those posts a-flyin', and JoeBryant cryin', "boohoo"
Come on, it's lovely weather for us birds of a feather, this crew.

Just see those threads a-growin', about it snowin' all day
Come on it's lovely weather for us birds of a feather, let's play

Hurry up, hurry, up, hurry up - Let's post
'Bout aprons and stoves,
We're typing while we should be working hard...
Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up - Let's chat
It's crippling my hand,
'Bout peepin' and cheepin' and pippin' in this winter wonderland...

Outside the snow is flying, and I keep turning away,
But it's such lovely weather for birds of a feather, let's play.

OK, it's kinda weak, but it was all I could come up with on the spot in 4 minutes...

Oh AllChook, I love that! It's truly reflects the whole BYC experience on any given day. Perfect, and so cheerful. I will miss BYC on this upcoming long weekend.

To the tune of: Let it Snow

Oh the coop outside is warmer,
than my house is this morning.
I insulated it so well,
let it freeze, let it freeze, let it freeze!

The hens are quite so comfy,
the roos are all so fluffy,
The porch is covered in poo,
let it freeze, let it freeze, let it freeze!

The ducks are all happy quacking,
their pool is frozen over,
The drakes are all ice skating,
let it freeze, let it freeze, let it freeze!

Nugget has found a girl friend,
she's cute and Buffy colored,
Blue and Penny are all snuggled,
let it freeze, let it freeze, let it freeze!

Little Turk has discovered Charlotte,
she's cute just his size,
Fuzzy Butt likes Sparkle,
let it freeze, let it freeze, let it freeze!

Hershey is laying eggs,
she thinks she's going broody!
I'm stealing those eggs this morning,
No baby ducks, no baby ducks, no baby ducks!

LOVE IT!!!

Not mine, I took it from the online Stephenville Empire Tribune today!

“‘Twas the night before Christmas,

And all through the pound,

Not a kitten was stirring,

Not even a hound.

The pets were all bedded

In their comfortable bunks,

With visions of sirloins

Cut into small chunks.

When out in the yard,

There arose such a noise,

The pets jumped in the air,

And lost all their poise.

Now Puppy, Bozo, Canine and Tuffy!

On Kitty, Tommy, Grumpy and Fluffy!

To the roof of the pound,

And over the fence,

Now dash away, dash away,

And don’t be tense.’

And then, in a twinkle, I heard from above,

Barking, meowing, and noises with love.

As I looked out my window and turned around,

Down came Santa Claus into the pound.

He spoke not a word,

And went right to work,

Filling all the stockings

Without a jerk.

He returned to his sleigh and gave a command,

Now Bozo and Fluffy you lead the band.

And as they departed and moved out of sight,

He yelled back to me: ‘Merry Christmas, Mandy,

And to all a good night.’”

Whose Egg is This (What Child is This...)

Whose egg is this
who laid to rest
outside the box
Is peeping?

I am quite sure
it can't be there
close watch on my hens
I've been keeping

This-this is a hatching egg!
While all the hens are snug in bed
Where did this egg come from?
Is this true or am I dreaming?

How can it be
An egg I see
Where no hen-lady
Is clutching?

It cannot be
what I see
I ate my rooster
at Thanksgiving

This-this is a hatching egg!
While all the hens are snug in bed
Where did this egg come from?
Is this true or am I dreaming?
