I am such a sucker for Christmas!!!!
I love love love love love to decorate for Christmas (and hubby loves it when I at least wait until Thanksgiving to do so
)
I am a Nativity addict - I just bought another one today (I have 10 so far - would have more, but hubby goes shopping with me sometimes, and he stops me...
) This one looks like ti is carved out of wood and it has nativity related bible verses on it. It isn't anything expensive, but it's cute/pretty.
I, too, have started listening (sometimes, not non-stop) to some good Christmas music (I like Transiberian Orchestra, personally) I also like Jars of Clay's version of Gabriel's Message. (I had a copy of Sting doing it, but lost it somehow).
Last year I did the whole house/tree in red and gold - not sure what the theme is gonna be this year, but it looks to be shaping up to be a rustic theme for a change.
Most of my tree ornaments are eggs - glass, fabric, ribbon, wood, etc... many of them etched in pretty designs. I love to get the box out every fall and look over each one
My birthday is in December, so maybe that is why I love Christmas so much - it used to be tradition to go get the tree on my birthday (when we got live trees, I have a fake one, now) then I got to decorate it the next day.
I like Halloween, I also like Thanksgiving -- but Christmas
makes me all warm and homey feeling inside.
Luckily, I have an excuse to decorate earlier than usual this year, because my oldest son can come visit at Thanksgiving, but he can't come for Christmas this year - so I sort of get to do it twice
