Actually,it's 60 days.

Were counting up to and including Christmas Day.....so she is right....it's 61 but hey this is all for fun.....right?

You're like me with Halloween, except I'll start counting down from 200.

I'm preparing for Christmas by making non refundable plans so that I'll have an excuse to be gone when the turmoil hits the rest of the clan. With 365 days in a year, there are plenty of less stressful times to spend bonding with family.

Me too!!!!! I went yesterday and bought 3 new pack of Christmas tree bulbs (you know the ones that hang on the tree) no lights. I have a friend that is going to give me some colorful lights.

I tried a new candy flavor mix last night (tested on the hubby and kid) so I can put it into the neighbor's tins for Christmas - it was a huge hit, so I think they neighbors will like it.

It was orange chocolate with dried cranberries and walnuts in it. mmmm it was good. I love orange flavored chocolate, anyway, and cranberries, too. I bought a bunch of tins at Walmart the other day (over half were for my own family, but some for the neighbors, too) just so I could start planning what to fit into them

Oh, if anyone wants to try the candy, I just made a half batch - but it was... (for a half batch, use half the chocolate bark package and these proportions of fillers)

almond bark candy making chocolate
orange extract (about a TBSP per half package of chocolate bark stuff)
a cup or so of dried cranberries
and walnuts to fill in and make it thick.
(proportions of filling stuff is your choice of whether ya like walnuts better or cranberries better, or both equally)

I make it so that there seems to be more stuff in it than chocolate on it, so it makes lumpy candy that I can either do in clumps or as a bark and break it.

I'd take a pic of some, but since I only made a test batch, the hubby and kid ate most of it after I went to bed last night

I'll get more stuff and make another batch today sometime so you can see what I mean about putting a lot of stuff into it to make it lumpy.
