Thank you so much for the mention and compliment, Feathered Wings!
And to AussieSharon for the PM. : )
I'm working on a custom order for someone right now, but I have some unfinished projects that I've been planning on getting around to as soon as I can. I've also been digging around looking for some of my beaded beads. I like to make up batches of those to use with gemstones since the jewelry is much less time-consuming and therefore much less expensive.
I do take custom orders, but I have a waiting list right now, and it'll be about two months before I can get to the next person. I'm doing my best to hurry!
I should have a few new items posted within a week with tentative prices. I have a website, but haven't had time to set that up, either--but one project at a time. Prices vary for custom work and finished pieces, but I'm open to trade, particularly for eggs or chicks. My dad already has a monster wish list for Christmas since I built him an incubator!
A link to my
Beadwork set on Flickr, and a couple samples of my work are below. I'll be posting more to my Flickr account as I find and/or finish stuff. Or I can update here if y'all prefer.
Thanks again!
Spring Garden Czech pressed glass, fringe technique, herringbone stitch using bugle beads.
Dichroic Pendant and spiral netting (You can't really tell, but this has some beautiful peacock colors. My camera doesn't take good indoor pictures.)
Oceanic Abstraction This is one of my personal pieces that I wear A LOT. Freeform peyote stitch, with "rolled gold" aka gold-filled wire. Tiny Swarovski crystals and a myriad of Delica and Miyuki seed beads. I use gold-filled fore wirework often since it lasts a lifetime, and is a lot less expensive than pure gold. Plus I find that it's more durable and comes in harder & larger forms of wire.
This is a
close up my strawberry necklace. I probably won't be making another one like this anytime soon. It took me more than a month of all my free time to get it finished, and I still think it looks sparse. I do plan on making smaller versions, e.g. a strawberry/leaf/ladybug pendant on a simple, elegant strand of gemstones or other beads. The flowers as well.
And here's the
Strawberry Necklace itself. There were tiny berries for earrings that I made, but forgot to take pictures of. This was a gift for my mother-in-law's birthday. She usually keeps it in a glass case.
It's little things like that that keep me making huge projects.
Okay, one more, and that's it, I promise. The rest is on
my Flickr set . A wirework example, copper and some odd, random stone. My personal collection again.
