Didn't want to hijack Tori's thread, so I posted my own!

I am planning on making a 100' L x 7' H x (idk) 10' W flight pen for bobwhites and chukars next year.

Can I keep them together in the same pen?? If not I could always divide it in half, but I would like to give them as much flying room as possible! (Can you tell I want a huge operation??

How many birds (roughly) would I be able to keep in a flight pen that size?

Will either of them brood their own young, or will I have to incubate all the eggs?
I am sure I will have many more questions, but this should hold me for now!

shelld2008, I visited a chukar/bob white/pheasant farm in Lucasville Ohio. Really neat place. yes, you can put the chukars and bob white together. You cannot put pheasant in with them. He had a 50x100 flight cage. He had several hundred birds. This man started his project this past spring. He was selling the to the wild life to repopulate different areas. I can give you this man's phone number. He is very knowledgeable and will be able to answer all of your questions. He has the neatest flight cage I have ever seen. PM me if you would like his phone number. Good Luck on your project. It will be very enjoyable.

if it is not too crowded, some bobwhites will raise their own young. I keep one pair each in 8'x 20' aviaries and they always raise their own young!
