Well, turkey daddy's are just good daddy's of baby churkeys. I gave Mildred, bourbon red hen, chicken eggs for her botched turkey hatch, she only managed to hatch one but I gave her some "assorted" reds from tsc as well.
Until four weeks she raised them on her own and was then killed by a fox. I had to catch the babies only to find Jake utterly inconsolable with the tandem loss. I fed the babies up for a week, so they'd have more feather and mass and gave them back this morning.
He's pulled out his chest feathers and sits with them like a momma, they ride around on his back like poults do. I am glad I gave them back, even if I am also getting him girls tomorrow.
