One time a chicken got stuck beside the coop and a metal barn. My grandfather got it out but it was a bit injured. We’ve had ducks in freak accidents due to Stumpy (soon to be 2 yr old goose that’s male) trying to get dooses or gucks. It always injured their legs.

I have concrete blocks all over, never had one get stuck...
...you just had some pure bad luck, with maybe a dumb cluck.

So sorry for your loss. I once had a hen trie to fly on to a roost but fell down and landed in a tiny space between a wall, dog crate, and the dog crate door that was open. The hen lived but it took weeks of therapy until she could run again.
