that is pretty amazing. I am sorry about your health though. Taking care of animals is hard, and when one has health problems it is even harder.

I hope your health improves

They have the ability to do so (here in Mich) but they rarely do because folks up here are ornary about folks tresspassing, and a human walking around with a gun on his hip wearing cammies (when we know there ain't supposed to be no 2 legs) is likely to be shot and killed before he gets a chance to say "wait, DNR, don't SHOOT!"

I will give it to the game warrant, thery have a risky job, more than police. Just about every person they check, is armed. So many don't know the right they have, and may shoot them for tresspassing. Game warrant may be right , but dead right. Here most of the time, they will waiting by the road ,at your car or truck.

Myself I have permit to raise wildlife, and know the game laws here. Yes they can come on my land anytime and check my pens.

A very dangerous job indeed. They also can take your guns from you if they deem you are breaking the law. I have known several Game Wardens and I have seen the tools they use to catch poachers. The animatronic deer on the road side is the one that gets em every time! Game Wardens and Texas Rangers are the high end of law enforcement here and they have the power to do what all other law enforcement can and a little more. You are right though, they usually stay at the road because they dont want to wander off into unknown territory and get shot at.

"I had like a sticker on it that said volunteer code enforcement. I did not see car until i went out to go out and saw them going to their truck."

Home Owners Association~~They are not government employees, and since they showed badges file charges for impersonating police officers!

They usually meet once a month. You should be able to go to the meeting to identify the persons involved and get their names to give to your local magistrate or police to file charges.

Some of our local cities do have volunteer code enforcement people. Unless they live in an HOA community, I wouldn't think they are HOA people.

Unless they have a search warrant and show up with a cop, you legally don't have to let them on your property. Next time they show up, tell them to come back with a sheriff and a warrant and slam the door in their faces.

They are conducting an illegal search. If they take pictures, that is a violation of your privacy. Take pictures of them taking pictures of your stuff. Make sure you get their faces. If they take anything, it's an illegal search and seizure.

Call your local law school/legal college and see if you can hire a legal intern if you're in a position where you cannot afford a real lawyer.

ETA: The reason you feel violated is because you have been.

If the OP gave them permission to come onto the property, it wasn't an illegal search. If she had told them they weren't welcome and they still came through, then it would be illegal. I do think that they should have identified themselves better. I would call the city to make certain that they were truly city employees and then file a complaint about their lack of identification if you feel it is appropriate.

They mislead her, either deliberately or through lack of knowledge, and THAT makes it illegal. She did not know or understand that she had a right to refuse them entry. This is VERY much like a law enforcememnt officer interrogating a person without reading them their Miranda Rights.

FWIW, my city requires that when dogs are on public property, dog poop be picked up immediately by the dog owner. There is no such requirement for horse poop. My neighborhood has a fair number of horses, and someone called me complaining about the horse poop her children had to walk around while walking to school, and wasn't there anything that could be done. As HOA president, I told her the streets are public, and we have no jurisdiction whatsoever, but that I would call the city. They told me that living in a horse-friendly neighborhood, that was a part of it, and that the law was very specific in cov ering dogs and not other species.
