City folk-how to know WHICh post office

If your post office(s) are that bad, go online and file a complaint... I had to do it several times here at my new place, but the bigwig will put a foot in their hind end and straighten them up...
I had a couple mail carriers that were just tossing packages wherever ( I have a plastic storage bench by the door for packages to be out of the weather with a sign and they ignore it .... no issues with UPS, FedEx..ect.., just USPS ) after a filed complaint , the postmaster called, we talked and the issue was corrected immediately, no issues since. Sometimes you have to remind them who they work for.

Agreed it should not be "the norm" to have bad post employees.

I just got an update, they are at the PO regional hub about an hour from here. I am guessing they will be delivered to my local PO before lunch .

I live in a small town, no mail delivery so we go to the post office all the time everyone knows everyone. I will go over at 9 to give them a heads up

USPS tracking is not accurate.
It is usually very wrong...delayed. It is not updated often.

I hope because according to my tracking, zero movement.

I was just going to ask about yours. Mine says they're still not moving and I worry if the PO will call.

Does the Brinsea heat plate take a while to heat up? As in,should I plug it in a day ahead? Or when on the way to pick up the chicks?

Plug it in when you head to the post office. I also use a heat lamp the first day to warm them up faster. The chicks often don't grasp the heat plate initially. Unplug the heat lamp when they start sleeping under the heat plate. Usually by day 2.

One is likely not going to make it, she was squished in this packing area where the grow gel packet was and she is not eating or drinking and she is weak. I gave her some poultry nutrients and am keeping her warm but pretty sure she is a gonner.

8 healthy perky chicks so it's all good

I finally received a message that they are "in transit" and "on time to be delivered by 9Pm Thursday. " I cannot imagine three little chicks will love alone that long and with the PO being closed at 9 PM...why would they even deliver then?
