CL ad looking for only ONE duckling to raise, should I email?

I REALLY don't think you understand what she is asking. someone is trying to get a single duck from someone else off craigslist. Lots of people will sell just one. I bought a single chick from a man recently (then informed him it wasn't a good idea to sell just one)....but I had others of the same age.

Lol Thank you! I don't think she gets it either.

i was concerned about someone wanting only one duck as a pet... Which is a bad idea. If you have other pets, like chickens etc., they will make friends. But if you only have one duck as a pet in the back yard by itself, it will not be happy.

Depending on your area, someone local might sell you only one if you tell them about your situation. No web places will sell you one.

whoops, i did read that wrong. lol. I thought you were saying yiou knew someone only wanted one... my bad... I can't read....

that's what I thought. I was starting to get confused myself. Lol. Yeah, I'm not the one who wants one lonely duck. I am going to have 12 soon so I guess I'm the crazy one. Oh well.

I know I talked to someone today who needed a new duckling because theirs disappeared. I told her about the two duck minimum for maximum duckie happiness and she said the people who sold her the first one told her the same thing, but they only had 1! *rolls eyes* So she's getting two from me. I won't sell a single duck to anyone unless they already have ducks or at least chickens!

I don't think it hurts to let them know they'll be much happier with two ducks, the worst they can do is ignore you, and probably they don't know any better.
