I have seen things that blow my mind.... This is not one of them

I just don't really get it. She isn't "disposing" of anything. She's giving it back to the owner after a few days of fun for the tots. She's an adult and it's her family and she wants to do a little something special for her kids. I think too many people don't care enough to make things more special for the little ones. Maybe this will be the experience they will remember that leads one of them to be a veterinarian. And, I think making it our business to judge her on craigslist is not only uneffective but pretty juvenial. Save your battles for one worth fighting

"Rent a chick", that's a first for me. Why not give a nice toy chick and make arrangements with a farm to let the children visit and take pictures.

I don't have children, but after all these years, I still remember how much I got attached to my pets as a child. No doubt those children will bond and will be heartbroken when the chicks have to go back. Wonder if that CL poster has a brooder set up, prepared to properly care for the chicks?

AZ has a company called "Rent a Hen". Not irresponsible as the chick lady, but a business with contracts.

Well....at least she is honest. I dont think I could do that though because my kids would be way too attached after a couple of days.
And it doesnt send a very good message to them.
Maybe she could work something out so that the kids could visit "their" chicks or something like that.
I just dont know. To each his own I guess.
