Honestly, I really wanted Shimmerkit to have a love story... Are you guys okay with that? @TesoroSena said that she wanted just Stonekit and Dawnkit.
yes! me too... i was just throwing ideas out there. she could have crush a cat but fall in love with someone else, basically to complicate the matter and make it more interesting. she would have like the main love story. just a suggestion, so @-Eridanus- could make a cat she becomes friends with, but has a temporary crush on another cat who breaks her heart, and @-Eridanus- cat could console her and they start to love each other... you know? or we could just give her a straightforward romantic interest.. i just thpught this would give it some plot twists, lol. up to you, @Addicted To Chickens

They woke up in the morning with a stretch, except for Shimmerkit, who they had to wake up. They figured she was tired from what happened yesterday.

”You’ll be careful swimming, right?” Clearpool asked nervously to her kits “And you’ll pay attention?”

“Yes mom..” Stonekit said

”I’m just making sure.. Peonypaw didn’t want you going in there last time, it makes me worried what she saw..“

“Mom, we’ll be fine!” Dawnkit meowed

“Alright.” Clearpool gave her kits a brisk lick before they padded out of the den. It wasn’t quite time to learn how to swim, so they basked in the morning sun for a little bit.

To be continued ..
Larkfeather padded towards the kits while they were basking in the sun. "Stonekit, Dawnkit, and Shimmerkit, it's time to start learning how to swim!" Meowed Larkfeather. "Yay!" Yowled the kits and followed him out of the camp towards the river.

Sitting by the river, he began to teach them the basics. "Okay kits. I'm going to teach you how to swim but keep in mind that your mentors, whoever they're going to be, will show you to really swim. Until then, remember that you should never swim alone, not until your mentors tell you it's all right. At first, you should only swim in the shallow part of the river until you learn to swim properly."

Larkfeather plunged in and climbed out halfway to grab Stonekit by the scruff and carry him in. Doing the same to the rest of the kits, the water was shallow enough for their heads to stick out.

"First of all, remember to keep your head out of the water unless you are diving in to catch a fish." Teaching them the rest of the basics, the kits catched on quickly until they started to splash around in the water as Larkfeather lounged on a nearby rock making sure they didn't get into trouble.

Later, Larkfeather fell asleep while lounging on the rock and the kits continued playing. While Shimmerkit and Stonekit splashed at each other, Dawnkit became curious and swam a little farther into the river. Soon, the current began to drift her away. Trying to grab hold of a stick jutting out into the river, it broke and she started to alert the other kits. "Help! Help!" She shouted.

"Look! Over there! Dawnkit's in trouble! Hold on! We're coming!!" Called Shimmerkit to Dawnkit. As Stonekit and Shimerkit swam over to Dawnkit, they started to get caught in the current too. "Hold on!" Shimmerkit said. Consentrating, Shimmerkit made a long vine grow out to her and Stonekit's location. Biting into the vine, it pulled them onto shore. She did the same for Dawnkit and soon they were all together.

"That was so close! Thank you Shimmerkit! I think our powers are actually going to good use... But what are they actually meant for?" Meowed Dawnkit. "Kits! Where are you?!" They heard Larkfeather shouting worriedly. "We're over here!" Hollered the kits. "What were you doing kits? Meowed Larkfeather. "We just decided to dry off over here on the shore." Said Stonekit nervously. "Well, please just tell me next time where you are going." He meowed.

Larkfeather and the kits padded back into camp while Clearpool ran up to them and congratulated them.

To be continued... @Chicken poppy , @TesoroSena do you want to continue?

sure, i would, but just to be clear, you wanted to do the apprenticeship, right? I could skip forward and do just before the apprenticeship, when the get ready. also, whos gonna be their mentor? Pernsonally, i think we should be our kits own mentor, to simplify waiting for others. @Addicted To Chickens @Chicken poppy
Yes! Go ahead and do before the apprentice ceremony and after, I'll actually do the ceremony!
