The kits all sat down, shuffling their paws nervously.

“You do realize how incredibly dangerous this is, don’t you? This isn’t some game, Starclan is giving you powers for a reason.. for what, i don’t know yet.” Moonglow said with a hint of nervousness.

“Yes.. we know” said Shimmerkit

“It doesn’t seem like you do. Peonypaw was telling me you wanted to go to the river to find out Dawnkits power”

“Well.. it didn’t seem like a bad idea” dawnkit squeaked

”My point is, this is to be taken seriously. You‘re only kits. And Peonypaw.. you’re power is the most concerning..”

The kits lowered their head under Moonglows firm gaze, but she softened it, not meaning to come off as rude.

”Well, what are your powers?”

“I suppose.. seeing the future. Or, glimpses of it anyway” Peonypaw meowed

”I think growing plants..” Shimmerkit said

”Moving objects with my mind” replied Stonekit

Moonglow turned her gaze to Dawnkit, waiting for a response

”I.. haven’t gotten mine yet” she said

”I’m sure you will soon.“ Moonglow rested her tail tip on her shoulder as a form of comfort, but even Dawnkit could see she was concerned with something much deeper, and Peonypaw had the same grim expression

The kits left to go to bed… thinking about what had happened.. and wondering why they were given such powers.
Lately their mother, Clearpool had been spending nights in the warriors den, now that they were 5 moons old. They all huddled in one nest comfortably, until they awoke in the middle of the night. Their nest had grown huge walls and was slowly encircling them tightly!
“Whoops..” whispered Shimmerkit. Stonekit rolled his eyes.
“You have to get this under control. Be calm… and sink them back into the ground.” Mewed Stonekit.
“no!” Cried Dawnkit. “This is cool! We should keep it like this.”
“No, we can’t. All the older cats will be asking questions we can’t answer. Who knows what will happen if the clan finds out us little kits have powers.” Argued Shimmerkit, breathing out heavily, and shrinking her body to the ground. With focus, she pressed her body flat, and the wall of plants drowned into the ground. Sighing with relief, the kits went back to bed to get ready for the morning, when they would learn how to swim.

Will continue later! Should we go ahead and skip to when they have their apprentice ceremony after they learn to swim? Also, is there any other apprentices or kits in Riverclan? I just thought we could create a little romance drama with the kits like with Bristlefrost and Stemleaf later!

After they learn how to swim, sure! Swimming is a big thing in Riverclan though.
I was thinking the same thing! Ummm idk but Stonekit and Peonypaw? Like I feel like they would be really good together and I could easily find a problem they have to get through to be together. As in, if they are so important they can’t do anything other than protect the clan, and they feel like it would be disloyal? Maybe. As for the other kits… I will make newborn kits that Shimmerkit can’t help herself from loving one… but he doesn’t love her back-yet. Yes or no guys?
Just realized I should have done this in the chat but oh well.

They woke up in the morning with a stretch, except for Shimmerkit, who they had to wake up. They figured she was tired from what happened yesterday.

”You’ll be careful swimming, right?” Clearpool asked nervously to her kits “And you’ll pay attention?”

“Yes mom..” Stonekit said

”I’m just making sure.. Peonypaw didn’t want you going in there last time, it makes me worried what she saw..“

“Mom, we’ll be fine!” Dawnkit meowed

“Alright.” Clearpool gave her kits a brisk lick before they padded out of the den. It wasn’t quite time to learn how to swim, so they basked in the morning sun for a little bit.
