Cleaning out feeders/waterers

Not sure what part of the country you are from, but Publix, a grocery store here in the southeast carries ACV:

blondie, was that a reply to me, i live in the uk so there isnt much here to get stuff like that from but i will try a health shop

I use Mrs. Stewerts Blueing. It is non-toxic. DH has used it for many, many years.
You can find it in the grocery stores in the clothes detergent aisle.

I use it to clean waterers & feeders. I also use it in their drinking water, for all the animals. I use 1 or 2 drops (whichever comes out), per gallon of water.

Trey: Regular vinegar is great for for cleaning, but only non-pasteurized apple cider vinegar (with the "mother of vinegar" sediment) has the health benefits and is for putting in the drinking water.

It helps to stop algae growth, helps to stop spreading of bacteria from one animal drinking after another.

My chickens have done well with this in their water. I put it in the water troughs for the horses, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, emu's, & dogs.
