Clearly not a Lavender Americauna??

I got this one as a chick and it's now almost 4 months old. The gal sold them as Lavender americaunas. But he/She isn't really looking like one. That tail looks rather rooster. Yes?

If she called them "Americanas" then it's just an Easter Egger, looks splash colored to me Easter Eggers get sharp pointy tails, but I see no hackles or saddle feathers so I'm not sold on rooster, can you get some head pics? : D

This looks like a splash ameraucana to me. Could very well be pure bred, just not lavender. Agree likely a pullet.

It is a pullet. By 4 months the saddle and hackle feathers would be thin and pointy.

I agree with the others that she could well be an Ameraucana. Maybe a little ratty, maybe not well bred, but very possibly still an Ameraucana.

I would also say she's a she. I'd expect to see more obvious roostering if she was a rooster by this age.

No difference. There is those misspelled words, that mean mutt. Then there is the Ameracana, and the Auracuna. Ameracanas are more common, Auracunas are hard to breed, have crazy muffs, and no tail, Ameracunas have a tail, and muffs. Both are purebreeds, and lay blue eggs, hope this was helpful!

I'm just happy she's a pullet. 4 out of 7 turned out roosters from this flock

She actually looks too dark to be a splash to me with that dark head so she well could be a lavender. But I'm not an expert on that color so I would defer to more professional opinions.
Since lavender isn't an APA color they're not well established as a color and it looks like she's just got a leaky color to me with those dark spots.
