I took her to the vet and it turns out she had a scratched cornea. She gave me some pain meds and some Terramycin Ophthalmic Ointment. I'm hoping that will help Sage quickly. Her weight seemed scandalously low: 1.1kg. She's not eating much, including her treats. The only thing she seems to eat is worms. She gobbles up every worm/bug I give her. I've tried to give her peas, sweet corn, tomatoes, etc and she doesn't eat them. She does like to gobble romaine lettuce, but it's so low in calories. I'd crop feed her, but I think it would just add to her stress and the doctor said it wasn't necessary. How is she today?
Thanks!I'm sorry to read about your little lady. I don't have any experience in this department, but I'm rooting for Sage. I hope everything turns out okay.![]()

I thought about offering her cat food yesterday. I'll try it today. I'm really concerned that her weight is so low and that her appetite is spotty. I don't want her immune system to get any lower. I have the invasiveness and stress of it, but I am wondering about crop feeding, or at the very least, trying to get syringes of nutri drench in her.Hopefully today will be a turn around for her now that you have pain meds and eye meds!
Have you ever offered cat or dog food as a treat? maybe take the hammer to it so its easy to eat? might just sprinkle some on top of her feed.
