Clot-looking veins in fertile egg on day 7

At this point in time you haven't got much choice other than to trust that the factory calibration is accurate and that your temperature is in the range that it should be.
 
I don't think that they were designed to be operated covered, so unless it is making a big difference and the manual says that is ok to run it covered I would be taking the towels off.
 
First egg just pipped early :) !!! I turned the heat up the the house, I’m cooking but it’s worth it

That is fantastic & the little one is a cutie.

If you are pipping and hatching then the temperature is acceptable to them so you don't need the heater turned up in the house.
