Clot-looking veins in fertile egg on day 7

Pics
I have an egg with a pip, moving and cheeping, but it’s made no progress after pipping for over 12 hours, should I help out? it seems like it is really trying to get out, but can't

I ended up helping him out, he was definitely ready, no yolk or veins left over, isn’t as energetic as the others, but nothing seems wrong with him, not sure why he didn’t hatch by himself

This is him

Another cutie :thumbsup, but 12 hours is not that long. I usually only give very minimal help if they have pipped but no sign of hatching after 18 hours and some purists tell me that I should not even be doing that.

It is great that your gut feeling panned out, but yeah sometimes helping them can be just as bad as doing nothing.

If it has curled toes a bit of 3M Nexcare Micropore to tape them into place helps, but some people use vetwrap, elastoplas tape or whatever is handy.
