Well, one very long second later, here are the pictures. It’s been a brisk 30 degrees Fahrenheit day, with clear skies save for some wispy clouds. My chickens have been enjoying the beautiful day free-ranging in the autumn-tinged leaves and munching on pumpkins and grubs they've found in the forest. I did save a poor salamander that Emily was trying to eat - she was very grumpy with me after that, but it was so pretty!

My chickens always go after the Lizards here. I am always saving the ones that get into the run, I love Lizards and hate to see a chicken eating one. 

By the time I got there, Emily had ripped off some of its tail, and it had raw flesh. I gently carried it to a hidden, shaded area and hoped for the best.
