Clucky's New Flock Adventures

Pics
Yeah.... you can never have too many chickens! :love (If you have the space)

Yep, same. It's ok.
My thoughts exactly. But my chick coop is getting too crowded, and when I move them in with the layers, that coop is going to be too crowded. :hmm I'll have more space when I retire the layers this Fall or sooner.

Today it is raining. :( 🌧️
I was hoping to do some socializing with the flock, but I guess I'll have to put that off until tomorrow. I think Galaxy (OE) and Nala (EE) are my most skittish pullets. On Wednesday I sat in the run with everybody and hand fed them treats! :) They did great! Galaxy even ate out of my hand a couple times. On the other hand, Eclipse, my Isa Brown is the friendliest pullet. Speaking of Eclipse, she was the first to try out the new hen saddle! :D (Special thanks to @Lacy Duckwing ❤️ )

She did really well! I'm very proud of my girl. ✨

All of my roosters were successfully rehomed. Except Phoenix, of course. 😄 I'm keeping him! Hopefully he'll be a good one. :hmm I will have to get updated pictures of him soon because he has gotten even prettier. 😍

I had a horse riding lesson today. It was fun. I rode a cute little horse named Leya.

Eclipse looks so stylish wearing that! :love :love :love

Yay! I can't wait to see the pictures!

Fun!

There are 10 pullets and 1 cockerel in 1 of my coops/runs. The run is all dirt now and they seemed to be getting bored. I noticed more quarrels than usual. So, I decided, it was time to “ruin” my beautiful other run - full of grass, lettuce, and other yummy plants! 😭 They are making quick work of it and thoroughly enjoying themselves! 😎 Luckily for them, 3 of the Blue Copper Maran pullets will be leaving sometime this week. (I had to make sure they were pullets before sending them to their new home). And even better, they will be free ranging much more very soon. 😁

The little little chicks were out and about today! They loved it! 🐥 I will post pics of them a different time. 😛

Now for the sad news. 😕 I might need to rehome Galaxy the Olive Egger. First of all, she is a bully. Second, she is very wild and flighty. I’m not sure if I could trust her to free range and stick around like the rest. I can barely catch her IN the run! I’ve been working with her but she seems naturally wild to me. I’d like your opinions please!

I’ll close with some photos.
