I typically don't have them in the house too long, it's just there for just in case.

I hope it is ok I participated. I have ducks only. They lived inside as ducklings, and come inside as adults when they are unwell. I adore them.

I raise chicks inside the house, incubate them inside the house, and keep injured chickens inside sometimes.

Yep, fairly often. I don't have any outdoor heated spaces and in the type of climate I have, keeping injured or sick birds warm in the winter is critical.

If I ever let my hens out they're straight down to the back door. If it isn't closed they're right on in. Then sometimes you only realise they've been inside when you tread on something rather slippery.

I have had chicks in a brooder in my bedroom. They would fly out of their box in the morning and onto my bed. They would go outside during the day, and back in again when it got dark. I would come up to bed and find them roosting on my bed rail.
And of course, they wanted to help me play Zelda, by screaming continually every time I fell into lava.

Sick birds are always brought in; and I still bring birds inside for cuddles from time to time.

This, and my recently acquired BYC calendar, has made me consider chickens instead of just ducks. <3 So adorable!!!
