coal in your stocking

how many of you all have gotten coal in your stocking?
im thinking of loading up my little girls stocking this year as a joke
of corse give her the real stocking after we all have are laugh
we have told her if she aint good santa will fill her stocking with coal
and of course being the sassy little thing she is said no way jos'e

I do the same kinda thing just to get a rise out of them on Christmas morning, makes it all fun.

When I was a kid, our neighbor loved to tease my dad and gave him an entire bucket of coal for Christmas as a gag gift. He used it in our fireplace. (He was in his 50's at the time

)

If your child still believes in Santa, then I wouldn't do the coal. I would've been tramatized if Santa really thought I was a bad kid. If she doesn't believe anymore, go for it, then it's just a family thing.

Oh, I got one better than that. One Christmas I gave my brother a great gag gift- a (taxidermy mounted) chicken leg that looked like it was giving him the "bird" (middle finger)!

I don't think you should do that. Your child would be upset to find coal in her stocking.

How about you give her something nice like always? That would make her happy.

Some stores sell "coal" that is actually candy. My kids have gotten that in their stockings.

When Steven was 3 I gave him lava rock,, no coal here,, he pulled it out and his eyes got huge, and he said "Oh mom,, poor Santa,, he murdered a snowman!" and I said what/?? He said "He put him in my stocking and he melted, all that's left are his eyes!"
