Cocci prophylaxis? 4 WK olds

Hi
Chicks are hitting week 4. In the garage in a large brooder box. Doing real well. Plan to transfer to new coop in 2 weeks.
:/Question: they have been on crumble since beginning without cocci meds. Do I need to introduce them to crumble with cocci meds before they go out to the coop??
Several friends here say they have never treated their chickens for cocci. We live in the country in NJ. Thanks for any recommendations.

I always feed medicated just to head off any trouble. I think if I were you, I would go ahead and feed the medicated.

I would scoop up a shovel full of loose dirt and leaves and put in brooder boxwith them to get them used to the dirt while they are in the brooder
