In the Brooder
Very interesting aart and makes logical sense. I was told by a local chicken keeper that 'birds which have had coccidiosis are never any good afterwards'. He couldn't believe that my whole flock were not equally badly affected. The one I had affected seems fine - I am waiting to see if she lays yet, she is old enough but none of her hatch mates have started yet either (purebred Light Sussex, so I believe it's the lack of light/time of year). I am hoping the probiotics will keep salmonella levels down (read that they do).
