Corid dose is 1/2 tsp powder or 2 tsp liquid per gallon of water. That is the treatment dose--the prevention dose is 1/2 of that.

My husband bought the Corid and the package says 20% Soluble Powder.........but all the instructions talk about is cows. Is this the right stuff ?= an aid in the treatment and prevention of bovine cocidiosis.

The Corid website actually says that treatment is 5ml per gallon for the liquid and 3/4 teaspoon per galllon for the powder, but like many here, I guess I read that the liquid is 9.5ml/gallon, so that is what I have been using.

Can anyone show me where it says that the dose is 1/2 for powder or 2 for liquid?

You can try a google conversion of ml to tsp online. The liquid ml conversion is almost equal to 2 tsp. It's 1.9? tsp per gallon and the powder, I forget the conversion, but it about equal to between 1/2 to 3/4th tsp...it doesn't have to be exact, a little more will not hurt them...it's a thiamine blocker so you won't od them if it is a tad over, by say .05 ml per gallon...I think the 2 tsp one on the liquid is 1.92 tsp per gallon but didn't want to put in print if I was off by a few.0?, if you are looking for the EXACT amount, just treat in ml. with a syringe that uses the ml and add that to the gallon of water.

For the powder, I believe you can get a baby measuring spoon at the pharmacy that measures in ml. or find one at Walmart?

Sorry if my #36 confused anyone... I do know how to convert ml to teaspoon, grams to ounces, etc. My issue is that people keep saying that the dose for Corid is 1/2 teaspoon per gallon for the powder and 2 teaspoons per gallon for the liquid, but the Corid website says for treatment it's 3/4 teaspooorder gallon for the powder and 5ml (1 teaspoon) per gallon for the liquid.

I would just like to know why people think it's different than the mfg's recommended amount. Does anyone have a source that says what the dose should be?
