Cochin bantam

Okay — so I posted this bird back in June. She was i think 3-4 months old at the time. Every one said hen. She seemed like a hen to me. She still does actually. Her body looks like my other Cochin hen rather than my Cochin rooster — however, she started trying to crow a few days ago. I’m super confused. Here are some pics.

"her" neck feathers are looking awfully pointed, And if you caught her trying to crow then that makes me think even more that she is a He..

Can you get a Close up pic of the saddle feathers? I can't see them clearly.
Do you have other males in your flock? Sometimes hens crow. I have one that does.

I have a cockerel that is young & has not started to crow yet. But the first time I heard her crow, I had another rooster.

In the light does the Cochin have shiny feathers by the tail? Because I’m the one pic I think I see them.

I think I see pointy saddle feathers in the first pic....it's stil hard to see though, since he/she is white. Could you possibly take close up pic when she's roosting? That way you could get really close, and it's okay If you use flash, since we aren't looking for coloring.

I remember calling this bird as a pullet before, but it's difficult to be sure now. I'm not seeing obvious signs of it being a cockerel, but Crazy for Chickens! is right, it is very difficult to tell on a pure white bird such as this. Since you are hearing crowing, I would say it's probably a late developing cockerel. Maybe it has come into its own since the other cockerel was taken out of the equation.
