This spring we hatched a clutch of bantam cochins. It looks like I have 1 roo and 3 pullets. They are are 2 months old. Do bantams develop earlier than other breeds? When should I expect them to reach POL?

Thanks--he is only about 6 mo right now so i am anxious to see how he develops for next spring, but i am rather thrilled with him. He is the son of WestKnolls SHAZAM, so hoping that Oz will be just as spectacular.

I bought some cochin bantam chicks at the last swap. I noticed one has silkied feathers. She's very pretty! I have found out she is Purebred, She is a Silkied Cochin Bantam. Has anyone ever had one of these before? If I put her with my Cochin rooster I should get 50/50 silkied and normal cochins right?

Another Shazam baby. Her first photo shoot was today. She was less than happy about the red blinking dot on the camera. Looked like trouble to her! LOL
I have so many of these beauties and don't want to sell any of them but know I have to! It was hard to let OZ go (pictured above by Frizzled Pink!) but I knew he was going to a great home so off he went. I sure miss that pretty boy but have enjoyed watching him mature through photos! And I still have his dad!
