No, two of my friends recently both got a frazzle. They said the same things as you did. When you first talked about it on here was the first I had ever heard of it, but I talked to them and they also said theres were sensitive. So I have heard it from multiple people, not just you.

What Black Cochin Bantams is saying is that there is more at play, genetically, than just one incompletely-dominant frizzle gene. There are modifying genes, that modify the amount of frizzle expressed.

So, it sounds like the verdict is still not to breed frizzle to frizzle b/c it's more likely you'll end up with an extremely frizzled chicken (frazzle).
So, if we have a chicken exhibiting frizzle gene, we still should make sure to breed it to a smooth feathered chicken.
Is this right or do I need to be corrected somewhere?

I never said that I did that. They have to find them on there own. But living things eat other living things, it is part of life.

I know, I will not turn this into a fight, I was talking about someone else who said she tossed live mice to the chickens...Poor mice. I saved a whole litter and the momma and I'd be glad to do it again.

Ok, didn't know it was getting to that point. But mice reproduce like crazy, I have to out traps out too or I would be over run with them. They can pass on disease, so to me it really isn't that sad. No hard feelings

That's good to know. I just didn't want my repeatedly reporting the same observations being taken as fact, when my sample size (two birds) is too small to draw any conclusions. If something is said enough, people are more likely to believe it to be true since they heard it so many times.

Do your friends' frazzles have reddened skin on their legs, keel, tail and vent? Where did your friends get their frazzles?

Frizzles can come in any breed. I have never had a frazzle so I do not know personally what they feel. I do know that they often do

Each friend only has 1, so we have our sample size up to 4. They are slighty red. They didn't know the persons name, some person off of CL. I think they just felt bad for them so they got them.

I do know that they often do She looks exactly like my frizzle. straight feathers, except my hen looks like yours with the feathers that curl almost into tubes, and mine doesn't look like the picture b/c her feathers curl all the way up onto her head.

But mine looks exactly like yours. I'll post the best pic I can find of her; she's in my avi, but that one's not easy to see.

Let me try to take a good picture of her. All the ones I have so far are too bright; it's impossible to see her, she's just a glaring white puff ball. I'll post it soon; I'm going to take care of the chickens now, so I'll take it now.
