Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

I think feeding live things to chickens is very cruel and un-Godly.
I used to have a pet alligator....
So kinda had to learn to look the other way.
Plus I grew up processing my own meat from all kinds of critters. So to me its not hard BUT I DO TOTALLY UNDERSTAND how some folks cant and there's nothing wrong with that. My sister now as an adult cant even kill some bugs cause she thinks their cute... makes me smile. But I cqnt blame her, thats who she is and I still love her for it. :)

Ok, didn't know it was getting to that point. But mice reproduce like crazy, I have to out traps out too or I would be over run with them. They can pass on disease, so to me it really isn't that sad. No hard feelings

I have cats so the poor mice die fast. I can't stand poison or snap traps, too terrible. A cage isn't so bad.

A pet alligator?O.O I love reptiles! SOOOOO CUTE!!!:D I like to help rolly pollies and snails, slugs, worms...But killing bugs is easy for me, all you do is smash 'em:p. Other animals like chickens or baby things I wouldn't be able to do.

So do I. They are terrible mousers though.

Anyways back to Cochins.

I still haven't got an egg from my mottled Pullet. She is somewhere around the age of 8 months. We have had crazy weather lately. I think she might lay in spring, her comb is starting to get a little red

I have two June pullets who have not started laying. I've had them at least a month. Only one had reddened, but they haven't been exposed to a lot of light as they are still quarantined in my garage

I don't remember who I was talking to about her, but here's a good picture of my BCF.
She's dirty, so please excuse us; she's a free range chicken and I'm sure that (since I got her at Tractor Supply) she's not breed SOP or show quality.
But she's my Snoodle and she has a special place in my heart.
And please don't judge her too harshly.

I thought this one showed her tail well. And see how the one row of wing feathers are straight?

This shows that they're not absolutely straight. See how her upper tail feathers curl so much they look almost like pipe cleaners?

Someone said that Frizzles are frizzled by degree; I wouldn't want a chicken more frizzled than this!!! I always feel like I have to be so careful when I pick her up b/c I'm afraid of pushing her feathers in the wrong direction; IDK whether it would hurt or not, but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't like it.

So, what does everyone think?
