Its a fizzle hen and is a lil bald. No necked neck. I have a twin at home to her. And if this wasnt my pic.... I would made the mistake of confusing her from mine.

I'm sure this has been asked before (I searched but couldn't find anything), how soon can you tell if your chick is a frizzle? I just purchased some chicks yesterday and didn't have a clue that they might not be frizzled until I saw a post about it!! My chicks have feather buds on their wings but I wondered if there was usually a set time when you can tell?

Usually can tell if thy are frizzles anywhere from 3-8 days give or take a few days. I usually see it around 5

Yes, over time, it will be obvious of if they are a frizzle or not, i hope it's not a frazzle!

Here is my little girl (I hope) at 1 week. Her wing feathers are very obviously currled compared to the others.

AWWW! I now plan on getting silkies of all colors, one black, one white, one partridge, one buff, and one splash!
