Cochin Bantams and Frizzle Cochin Bantams!!

Can frizzles fly? My little girl does not....but I wondered if she could. I thought maybe their feathers wouldn't support them.

Mine does not fly. She has jumped up to the roosting bars, but would roost in a lower nesting box, about 1.5' up off the floor.

I have 3 bantam cochins from tsc. 1 all white the new 2 are colorful. Ones down is black with some red on the face and white wings, thought it was nest looking, the other is grey and yellow. I figured my one cochin might enjoy some of its own kind. Any suggestions on what flock to keep them with I have 7 silkies and a mixed flock of 16, 2 D'Uccle, 2 sultan and the rest are clean legged varieties

bantam eggs or LF? I usually give a first timer 4-6 Bantam eggs 3-4 LF. Depends on her size and if she can cover them. Good Luck!

Thank you. I gave her five of her own eggs and I hope she does well with them. She is so cute. I hope some of her babies will be frizzles too. I wonder if the roo will help take care of the babies.

If the roo is smooth I think the hatch % is 50% chance of frizzle. You should never breed two frizzles together as you can have babies that are frazzles that have extremely brittle feathers and kinda end up being bald a lot of times because the feathers break off.
