Cochin breeding, genetics, and showing

This is my bantam mille fluer frizzle Cochin roo. I do not have a mille fluer hen. Suggestions on best color to breed with to keep and enhance his coloring?

From all the research I've done most likely Mottleds since it is recessive. To a plain mottled you should get all mottled offspring, some also frizzle, and could breed some daughters back(ideally smooths unless you want to get double frizzle/curly chicks). I want to get some Frizzle Mille Fleurs myself but only have a smooth MF Roo(which I think was partridge based?) and a mottled Partridge smooth and a mottled Partridge frizzle....at least 2 of those hatched out of "MF" labeled eggs. All my frizzle Roos are black with leakage(partridge it looks like).

On a different note.....what am I likely to get breeding a Blue Red Roo to a Frizzle Black? I like his coloring but not sure how to list that on genetics calculator, do I list him as Red and then change the option for blue genes or ?

Already preparing for 2018 or maybe even 2017 fairs!

I bought 4 cochin chicks at Lumber 2 a few days ago, they are white with a bit of pinkish purple color. My 8 year old was holding one and asked me what i put on it because he thought it smelled fruity. Every one of them smell like grape juice or something similar but only on the colored spots. They're not sticky and surely after 3 or 4 days they still wouldn't smell so nice if something was poured on them. Has anyone else noticed this?
