Cochin egg laying??

I have 4 cochin's (one roo) that are about 3 months old right now and I'm curious when (roughly) we might start seeing eggs out of them? This is our first go at having chickens and I've done a little research on their egg laying but would like to know when others started laying.

Cochins are slow to begin laying, most are 7-9 months and some can take longer. The large breed is considered a meat breed so egg laying isn't a priority. The bantams are ornamental, they will often start sooner than the large breed.
