A few months ago I brought what were supposed to be Gold Laced Cochin eggs from a local source. I paid a fair bit of money for them. After a pitiful hatch I wound up with two chicks one of which was definitely not a cochin, the other was at least the right color. Seller refused to take any kind of responsibility for selling me the wrong eggs, but that's neither here not there. My one-that's-not-a-cochin appears to be a gold brahma and I'm wondering if my hen is a brahma too. She is just two months old. What do you guys think? They are pretty small chickens though they are just babies. The hen all fluffed out is about the size of a grapefruit right now. She has decent feathering on her legs. The rooster's legs are twice as thick as the hen's. If you need better pics I can get them. Do female brahmas have the pea comb as well? What do you guys think?

I looked just to confirm what I know, she has a straight single comb with no hint that it looks like her "brother".

Here is the little rooster. He does have feathering on his legs, though I believe my turkey might have plucked that left side. They all get along well, though every now and then they will pick at each other. I'm pretty sure he's a brahma.

"Muffs"? :)

And thank you. He's certainly odd. I don't really mind though. He's very friendly and a good pet. I'm glad to hear confirmation on the first one. She's what I wanted.

His head looks like an Easter Egger.
