Cochin "pullet" chick just mated with me??

"she" is 8 weeks old and extremely cuddly. I would hate to see her go but if she is a boy she may have to go.

She is a blue bantam and her comb is more red and more developed than the others. Now that I look at her she seems to have hackle feathers.. (do they look like scruffy feathers that are a slightly darker color?). Sorry no pictures..

And she mated with mated with my hand!!! I've had roosters before.. so I know what it looks like.

Just politely tell him/her that you appreciate their affections but you have a strict rule about dating outside of your own species.




I wish I'd done that when my ex-husband originally proposed to me. Would have saved a lot of trouble later on.
