I've been calling him "chaps" because when he runs those flaps of black feathers fly and look like chaps on him.

Oh my! Those are so precious!!
I noticed in the pic that there are frizzles breeding with frizzles, thats not a good combination. If they eggs were good, chances are that you would have ended up with with some curlies, or over frizzled birds. Very pretty birds, wish you the best.Hello everyone I've checked on here before, but that was quite some time ago.
I currently have 1 Black Mottled Hen (Bought) and 2 Lemon Blue Sport (Hatched) pullets.
Monday I received in the mail, a dozen eggs from these birds.
I hope I'll get a little Frizzled chick but its iffy. The eggs came all the way from Florida, when I candled them after I waited 24 hours to put them in the incubator, all of them were porous and I've had very bad luck with Porous eggs in past.

Well that's not good.. In the sellers info it said there was frizzles hatching from the eggs, but they didn't show up all the time.
She didn't say what kind of roosters or hens she had in the pen. I'm going to e-mail and ask her. Thanks for pointing that out!
I'm not sure yet Gail, I just have the 3 older ones right now, I see a little red coming on the blue one. These are my 1st ones so I'm not sure what to expect! I'll try to get pictures as they grow.Twyla, at what age do you start seeing color on them (other than the Blue)? I'm getting antsy to see if mine are going to develop more color other than blue. I don't want to cull too early.
