buff has dilution genes that inhibit the dark red, white masks all colors and can hide a multitude of other mutations, most of which you don't want in the reds.I have some red Cochins and working on to improve them sould I breed to a white or a buff
Love the blue/lavender ones I'm hoping mine are the same colorOk I got a couple of better pics of my cochins. My partridge (?) likes to bite, but loves being held. Is that a hen thing? Do partridge roos start out looking like this? The older two are 6 weeks. The little guys are 3 weeks. The baby blues are standard size and very sweet.
