I've got this big boy coming in tomorrow!

My Cochin laid seven beautiful eggs for me, and they are hatching as I type

I just got a few Silver Laced, a couple Gold Laced, and one who knows what color (I think his wheaten EE got in with a GL gal) Cochins today. They are pretty cute, and the bigger ones joined our flock of EE, brahma, RIR, and Chanteclers with no fuss.

Roo- he needs a home, I have enough boys


Goldie- she is QUICK



Sunflower- how she got that color no one knows. All the mommies are GL and all the daddies are SL, but he has wheaten EE's too


Henrietta- SL



Charlie- may need a new home I think it's a boy.



Oreo- SL

I have seen other splash Cochins turn the brownish color... Now idk what you call the brown color but he is a splash.

Splash are my fav's!!!!

it's sunburned... I've had blues that turned that color but the undersides of the feather are still blue

I'm guessing him to be a Splash with tawny leakage. I don't know what you're feeding, but you might look into a non-corn based feed just to see if that has an effect on the color. FYI the tawny color is not a desirable trait so you would want to see if it could be dietary or that is his true color. He looks to be a clear blue as a chick, so............
Oh and you'll need to wait for him to molt after you change feed, to see if there is a change.
