she died during the fair last summer in her sleep. She was my favorite one. She was so pretty and kind and smart.
I really like cochin bantams. They are little balls of fluff!
They really are!! And sooo sweet and loving!!

I know! My best friend showed hers at the fair for a couple days and when she brought her home she was completely tamed and would run up to me when I called her. So my freind is going to sell me one of the babies

A singleton orphan calf doesn't do well, so I put a couple of cochin banty hens with a calf until a 2nd calf comes along. It works out wonderful.

Too sweet, I've heard so many stories about how Motherly this breed is and weather it's birds of a feather or just another living buddy we need companionship of some sort especially when your a little lonely calf without a Mama. Please keep us updated.
…speaking of updates…wahoo my Mollted Cochin eggs arrived safe and sound from Livingston Texas yesterday. DH set them for me as they arrived early in the day while I was at work and could rest on my desk. (and he says the chickens are my things lol) The ebay bid was for 10+. Thirteen arrived and packed like it was your Grandma's china, the box was marked clearly on all sides regarding handling and contents. Let the waiting and fussing about the temp/humidity, canceling at 5 days and sniffing for stinkers begin lol.

Is there anyone located in the VA state? I am looking to get a Cochin Roo for my 3 hens.. They stay to themselves, and even though the flock does not mind them, they go off on their own.. so I am looking to get a protector and a pretty one at that. It'd be so so SO appreciated and more than willing to drive/meet half way ect.

I am located in the Charlottesville Area.

Are you looking for Bantam or Large fowl? I'm located in the New River Valley area, and have two Self blue bantam cochin roos. They aren't very good SQ however, because they have terribly light foot feathering, AKA not enough feathers on their legs. Whenever I get some building projects done and finally get some breeding pens I am going to get some Cochin hatching eggs, so I'll be willing to part with them. PM me if your interested!
