you are correct about where in the world you are whether a bird is called Pekin, Cochin, Bantam Cochin, Large Fowl, or Giant. Here in the USA most are Bantam Cochins or Large Fowl Cochins.

Jumping back into this thread after being absent for awhile. Just moved East and just now settled in enough to start forming the flock! My My Pet Chicken order is supposed to arrive tomorrow and in it 2 Black Frizzle Cochin Bantams. Cochins (especially bantams) are my favorite breed so I'm excited to chat Cochin with everyone again.

I have a LF blue Cochin rooster, blue and black hens. They are 9mos old. This will be my first time breeding them.

Absolutely! Are you on any other Cochin threads on here? I'm finding it hard to find other Cochin people to answer some questions I had about my rooster......
