I need to add new blood to my Mottleds so I'm actively searching for some Mottleds or Mottled eggs.

I am sooooooo trying to be reasonable. LOL

Alot of what I have right now are too young to lay and I'm not a patient person. So I'm trying to find thing to divert my attention. I've been perusing the latest edition of Poultry Press, which doesn't help matters any. LOL

I just sent off my application to join CI. YAY ME!!

Meanwhile I'm drooling.

But on a good note....my Mille Fleur's just started to lay and their eggs are finally fertile! I'll have to get pics of them on here.

I plan on putting together a mottled pen in the spring. I have 5 or 6 mottled girls (1 blue, the rest black) and 1 awesome mottled boy with 1 really decent backup boy. I also have my mille boy that I plan to cross over the mottled girls......

I have 3 mottled from a friend who lives down the road, I just bought 2 pullets from Jamie Matts, one blue mottled and one black, not many spots yet (they are very young) but very beautiful birds. Everybody is still very young and who was laying has stopped with the weather getting colder. I will hopefully have eggs to sell come springtime!
