Nadine what do I need to do to get one (or more) of your buff mottled hens? My first born is grown and out of the house, so I can't offer you that.

Are they bantam? I hope, I hope, I hope. I'll be happy to trade you buff barred eggs/chicks or whatever if I can get one of those mottleds, or you can have anything else that have..........as soon as they start to lay again and the boys come fertile for the spring.
They are gorgeous

I have a young cockerel and I'll have chicks this spring or I can suggest someone to you if you'd like.

Before I tell you I've got that cockerel, I should ask you if you plan to show. He's not going to be show quality, but I'm almost certain he'll be very flashy and have good type.

Thanks for the compliment on my girlies but I haven't any extra ladies to sell and if I did I have so many people already asking for them that I would not have enough to share. I will be working on this project this year and will put test eggs up on a BYC auction when I hatch a few myself to test fertility and hatch rate.
And yes, they are bantams. I have only one pen of standards but about 10-12 breeding pens of different bantam Cochins. They are my love!

And later, if you would like to trade eggs I would love to have some buff barred bantam Cochins.
Keep pestering me and I will get to it!

I held back 3 from last year, so I'm up to 5 heading into this Spring's breeding. It's still too cold here to start breeding, but I hope to have some decent youngsters available this summer:

They are gorgeous :O

Thanx! I'm really hoping to be able to improve the lacing on the hens this year - especially on their backs and tails/cushions. It's a real challenge for sure! For some reason, the lacing on the golds is really inferior to the silvers.

I would be interested if it is not to hard to ship them. I love the GL's. We only have black and blue and one barred who is getting up there in years, my kids are afraid to show them at fair again this year because they are sooooo old.
