Cochin Thread!!!

Couple of pics of 3 brown red and a lemon blue chick(bantams). These hatched yesterday under a broody hen.

In this pic the lemon blue is in the front

I don't know, I don't have any birchen. You could always keep the eggs separate at hatching time. I divided my hatching tray into several compartments to separate different varieties..I used small welded wire and made cross sections, then when the lid is on the the hatching tray all chicks stay in designated compartment.
 
Here are the dog houses that I modified into "love shacks" for my breeding pens. I put air vents with shutters in the backs and the ramps have hinges and latches to close them. Don't look too close I am not a carpenter. The chickens like them, that is all that matters. I was rewarded with an egg the very first morning after they slept in them.
